The Real Price Range in 2026
The honest answer to "how much does a website cost in the Philippines?" is: anywhere from ₱5,000 to ₱2,000,000, and both ends of that range represent legitimate projects. The price you should pay depends entirely on what you need the website to do.
This guide gives you a transparent breakdown of what different price points actually deliver, what corners get cut at lower prices, and what you legitimately need at each business stage. I am writing this from the developer side after six years building websites for Filipino businesses and international clients from Davao City. I want you to make an informed decision — even if that means deciding I am not the right fit for your project.
Before you read further: The cheapest website is not the cheapest investment. A ₱10,000 website that generates zero leads costs more than a ₱80,000 website that generates ₱200,000 in annual business. Always evaluate websites as revenue-generating investments, not as cost line items.
Basic WordPress Website: ₱15,000–₱50,000
At this price point you are getting a WordPress site built on a premium theme (Divi, Avada, or a niche theme) with your content and branding applied. You get 5-10 pages (Home, About, Services, Contact, and a few content pages), a contact form, basic SEO plugin setup (Yoast or Rank Math), and a mobile-responsive layout.
What you do not get at this price: custom design (the layout is constrained by the theme), complex custom functionality, advanced SEO work, performance optimization, or ongoing support beyond a brief handoff period.
Who this is right for: solopreneurs, new small businesses that need an online presence quickly, service providers who need a credibility anchor, and businesses where the website is not a primary lead generation channel. A local beauty salon, a new law practice just establishing an online presence, or a freelancer who needs a portfolio site.
Warning signs that you are under the ₱15,000 floor: developers offering websites for ₱3,000-10,000 are typically students building their first projects, using free themes with no license, and providing zero ongoing support. The site may look acceptable initially but will have security vulnerabilities, plugin conflicts, and no maintenance — plan to rebuild it in 18-24 months if this is your starting point.
Professional Business Website: ₱50,000–₱150,000
This is the range for a professionally designed, performance-optimized website that is built to generate leads and rank in search results. What is included at this price point: custom design (not a theme — designed for your specific brand), professional copywriting or content collaboration, SEO foundation (keyword research, on-page optimization, sitemap, schema markup), performance optimization (under 2.5s load time, Core Web Vitals passing), hosting setup and security hardening, and typically 30-60 days of post-launch support.
The difference between a ₱150,000 site and a ₱50,000 site at this tier is complexity: more pages, more custom sections, more integrations (CRM, booking system, WhatsApp integration), more SEO depth, and more design iterations.
Who this is right for: established small businesses where the website is a primary lead generation tool — restaurants, professional services (law, accounting, medical), construction and renovation companies, educational institutions. Any business where appearing credible and ranking in local search directly affects revenue.
E-Commerce Website: ₱80,000–₱300,000+
E-commerce pricing varies more than any other category because the complexity range is enormous. A basic WooCommerce store with 20 products and simple payment integration is very different from a multi-vendor marketplace with 1,000 SKUs, inventory management, multiple payment gateways, and a loyalty points system.
| E-Commerce Scale | Price Range | What Is Included |
|---|---|---|
| Starter store (20-50 products) | ₱80,000–₱130,000 | WooCommerce, basic theme, GCash/PayMaya, COD, basic SEO |
| Mid-size store (50-500 products) | ₱130,000–₱250,000 | Custom design, all PH payment methods, inventory, order management, email automation |
| Large / custom (500+ products) | ₱250,000–₱600,000+ | Custom development, multi-vendor, advanced search, loyalty program, analytics |
For Philippine e-commerce specifically, GCash and Maya integration is essential — these drive a majority of Philippine online transactions and their absence in a store is a significant conversion killer. Budget an additional ₱15,000-30,000 for custom payment gateway integration if your developer does not include it in the base price.
Custom Web Application: ₱200,000–₱800,000+
Custom web applications — SaaS platforms, booking systems, HR management tools, customer portals, AI-powered tools — are in a different category from websites. These are software products, not marketing sites.
Pricing at this level reflects engineering hours, not just design and content work. A basic SaaS MVP with user authentication, a core feature, Stripe billing, and deployment typically requires 200-400 hours of engineering work. At ₱800/hour for a mid-level Filipino developer, that is ₱160,000-320,000 for the development alone, before design, testing, and project management.
If you are building something at this scale, fixed-price project contracts with clearly defined scope are the right approach. See my SaaS MVP service for how I scope and deliver these projects.
Ongoing Costs Nobody Mentions
The website build price is only the beginning. Factor these annual costs into your budget:
Web hosting: ₱3,000-15,000/year. Shared hosting is fine for basic sites. For business sites with meaningful traffic, managed WordPress hosting (Kinsta, WP Engine, or SiteGround) at ₱8,000-20,000/year is worth it for the performance and support.
Domain name: ₱600-1,200/year for .ph domains. .com domains run ₱800-1,500/year from Namecheap or GoDaddy.
SSL certificate: Usually free through Let's Encrypt (your host provides it). Paid certificates are only necessary for specific enterprise compliance requirements.
WordPress plugins: Premium plugins like Yoast SEO (₱3,000/year), WP Rocket (₱3,500/year), and any paid theme licenses are annual costs. Budget ₱5,000-15,000/year for essential premium plugins.
Maintenance and updates: WordPress requires monthly updates to core, themes, and plugins. Without updates, security vulnerabilities accumulate. Budget ₱2,000-5,000/month for professional maintenance, or 2-4 hours per month if you do it yourself.
How to Choose the Right Price Point
The right website investment is determined by one question: what is the expected revenue impact? A sari-sari store that is simply looking for a Facebook alternative does not need a ₱150,000 website. A law firm targeting corporate clients needs a website that inspires trust and ranks in Google — a ₱20,000 template site will cost them far more in missed opportunities than the difference in build cost.
Ask yourself: how many additional clients/customers per month would I need to acquire through this website to recover the investment in 12 months? If one new client per month would cover it, the investment threshold is significantly higher than if the calculation requires 50 new transactions per month.
I serve clients across all these price points for WordPress projects and custom web applications.
